I was raised in the low country of South Carolina where some of my fondest visual memories are the old mossy oak trees. My mother and grandmother were avid gardeners and my great grandmother owned a flower shop. I was surrounded by plant talk at an early age. I find it important to mention that as a child I was heavily medicated and the also undoubtably contributed to my desire to find natural alternatives to what ails us. First, however, I had some exploring to do. I left home to travel the country when I was 17; this is when I was first introduced to herbal medicine and the power of plants beyond the garden. When I finally landed at home base, I began to deepen my personal connection to cooking and herbs.
Since then I moved to Asheville, NC and the Blue Ridge Mountains opened my heart to an even deeper relationship with the earth. I studied herbalism at the Chestnut School of Herbal medicine and I am forever a student of life. I love learning new ways to heal. Over the years I have watched friends struggle with the life changes that come with birth, postpartum and abortion. I decided to extend my care and training to become a full spectrum doula (birth, postpartum, miscarriage/loss and abortion support ). I value the safety, wishes and compassion of all birthing people.
My goal is to make these life changing tools and services accessible to all. Healing is a human right and I am committed to sharing space and showing up for those who desire.
